After 19 years as a barber, one thing has become very clear to me.
There is no single hairstyle that works for everyone.
A good haircut is not decided only by what looks stylish in a photo. Hair texture, hair density, head shape, face shape, growth direction, age, lifestyle, and even how much time a client wants to spend styling their hair all matter.
For some clients, keeping more length creates better balance. For others, removing weight and creating a cleaner silhouette works better.
The same hairstyle can look completely different depending on the person.
That is why I believe consultation is one of the most important parts of a haircut.
Before cutting, I look at the client’s hair from different angles and think about how the style will look not only today, but also after a few weeks of growth.
A hairstyle should feel natural, be easy to maintain, and fit the person’s daily life.
After 19 years in this profession, I have learned that experience is not just about cutting faster or mastering more techniques.
It is about knowing what to change, what to keep, and how to create the right balance for each individual.
The best hairstyle is not simply the most fashionable one.
It is the one that suits you.
